First Major Achievement of my Career.

Wow... Is all I can say. The amount of great things that have gone on the last 48 hours have been amazing! Killington Vermont sure did a god job and put on a great Dew Tour Show. I left Killington Vermont and flew out of Albany New York this morning and arrived in Denver for the first ever SIA (Snow Sports Industries of America) big air contest. I would like to thank all my sponsors, my parents, mother nature, and God for a great weekend in Vermont. Here is a short story that Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp did on the experience.

Qualified 4th in Dew Tour Slopestyle Prelims at Killington!

Hey everyone! It was a frigid Saturday at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont. Temperatures with wind chill reached -10 on hill. Aside from feeling like an ice cube all day, I managed to put down a solid run and qualify 4th in the slopestyle prelims today at Killington! Tomorrow NBC will air finals from 4 to 6 PM eastern time. Tune in and check it out!

Mt. Snow Experience

This past week mother nature has decided to wreak havoc here in Vermont. It has been snowing like crazy the last three days in the Appalachian Mountains! Training for the Dew Tour started yesterday. It was an early morning and a long drive to the venue in Killington from Mt. Snow which is about an hour and a half away.

This past week I've been training at Mt. Snow on their famous Carinthia all park mountain face. The parks as well as the people up here are great. Big thanks to you guys for supporting me! Here is a quick little video we shot over the course of the week, and introducing the first ever Windells Academy Park and Pipe Skills Enhancement Camp.

Bye Tahoe, Hello Vermont

Reno airport isn't the most exciting place in the world. A few slot machines, some bad restaurants, and really ugly carpet is all that it really services. Although, it is fairly quiet nice to lay out and relax. Today is my last day in Lake Tahoe and marks my first day on my journey to Vermont for the 2nd stop of the Winter Dew Tour. I'm pretty bummed that we're leaving Cali, I really enjoyed it. Nice weather and beautiful mountains are a perfect combination. As I look out the window of the airport, it really hits me that we're about to venture to the ICE Coast, a place of poor weather and tiny mountains.

We're flying into Columbus, Ohio tonight and then driving to Mount Snow, Vermont to train for a week before the Dew Tour. Although it is called the ICE Coast, I always manage to have a good time there. The parks are fun and the people are always stoked. It should be a good trip. I'll blog again when we arrive in Vermont.

3rd Place!

Hey guys! Reporting from Lake Tahoe at the moment, I just got done with halfpipe at the North Face Park and Pipe Open Series. I'm not much of a halfpipe skier yet... but I try my best. The highlight of the weekend was my third place finish yesterday in slopestyle finals. I managed to make it through semi finals and then through finals with my runs. The competition was insane! So many awesome riders were out here. Props to everyone who was out here. Everybody killed it! Thanks to my parents, my sponsors, and God for helping me out this weekend!

First Day in Tahoe

Hey kids,

Today was my first day ever skiing in Lake Tahoe California! Me and Lyman Currier skied at Alpine Meadows for the afternoon and shredded some jumps until we were to tired to ski. I arrived early yesterday morning to Reno Nevada, and then drove up to Truckee, California. I'm here for the North Face Open going on at North Star this weekend. It should be a fun contest. A lot of my friends will be here so it will be good times shredding with everyone!

I don't have to ski until Saturday because fortunately, I am pre-qualified to prelims because of my previous results at Dew Tour. From now until then, I'll be skiing everyday and working on schoolwork. I'm having a blast so far! Tahoe is amazing!
